Environment

Big Block Cutting has an obvious impact on the environment at a local level. Our ultimate aim is to minimize this impact as much as we possibly can by the correct disposal of all waste through approved licensed waste disposal operatives. On every project we endeavour to execute the works by keeping our waste consolidated and controlled at all costs.

Our main aim is to do the absolute minimum amount of damage to the environment during the execution of our works and to strive for an ever improving environmental performance.

The company is founded on the principle of continuing development of both the whole and the individuals within it, and this applies every bit as much to the impact on the environment as to all other aspects of the business. This is achieved through ongoing training of our staff and also a continuous raising of the level of awareness throughout the company by the updating, distribution and implementation of the Environmental Management System.

As a part of our staff induction program a copy of our Environmental Management Policy is given to every new employee. The aims of the policy are explained in detail and then acted upon. Compliance is a condition of their continuation on site.
